This role is based in Observation Unit 003, a fast-paced environment caring for a diverse patient population with telemetry needs.

Weekly Compensation & Benefits

• Gross Weekly Pay: $1,908 (36 hours/week)
• Tax-Free Stipend: $1,246
• Hourly Rate: $18.39/hr
• OT/Holiday Rate: $27.58/hr

Unit Overview: Observation Unit 003

This is a 30-bed unit combining Observation and Medical-Surgical care with full telemetry capability.

• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5–6
• Support Staff: Unit supported by Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), a Healthcare Unit Coordinator, and Virtual Sitter monitoring.
• Technology: Dedicated Monitor Techs available for all telemetry-monitored patients.
• Environment: Team-based nursing approach within a high-acuity Level I Trauma Center.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct Care: Provide nursing care in accordance with facility protocols for patients of all ages.
• Clinical Monitoring: Implement and monitor patient care plans; communicate condition changes to the medical team.
• Care Coordination: Act as the primary coordinator across all disciplines to ensure seamless patient transitions.
• Orders & Discharge: Execute physician orders and manage complex discharge planning needs.
• Safety: Maintain strict adherence to Standard Precautions and PPE requirements in a high-stress trauma environment.

Candidate Requirements

• License: Active Oklahoma (OK) or Compact RN License.
• Certifications: AHA, BLS
• Skills: Strong critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience: Previous experience in Observation, Telemetry, or Med/Surg preferred.
