Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled CVOR Surgical Technologist (CST) for an immediate opening at a premier Level 1 Trauma Center in Kansas City. This position requires a professional with a strong background in cardiac surgeries and the ability to operate in a high-acuity environment.

The ideal candidate is a dedicated team player with extensive “scrub” experience who can maintain the highest standards of sterile technique during complex procedures.

Compensation & Hours

• Gross Weekly Pay: $2,480
• Hourly Rate: $24.37
• Weekly Stipend: $1,505
• Overtime/Holiday: Will discuss over the interview.
• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts (variable between 06:30 and 19:00).
• On-Call: Approximately 1 weekend per month; must be willing to work/take call on holidays.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Clinical Skills: Strong, recent scrub experience specifically in cardiac surgeries and previous circulating experience.
• Licensure: National Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) License required.
• Certifications: Current AHA & BLS certification.
• Floating: Must be willing to float to Bell OR, Cambridge OR, and SPD as needed.
• Weekends: Yes, as required by the department rotation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile field for complex cardiac surgical procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team to ensure patient safety and procedure efficiency.
• Assist in the turnover of the operating room and preparation of specialized instrumentation.
• Provide support to the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) or other OR units when census requires.
