Job Description

Are you an elite CVOR RN ready for your next high-impact assignment? We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract at a premier Level 1 Trauma Center in Kansas City.

This role is designed for a clinical “rockstar” who excels in high-acuity environments. You will be responsible for providing expert perioperative care during complex cardiac surgeries. If you have a strong background in both scrubbing and circulating within a trauma setting, we want to hear from you.

Compensation & Hours

• Gross Weekly Pay: $3,200
• Hourly Base Rate: $42.37
• Tax-Free Weekly Stipend: $1,505
• Total Weekly Hours: 40 (Scheduled as 4x10s)
• On-Call: Approximately 1 weekend per month.
• Holidays: Holiday work/call is required as per rotation.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience specifically in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Technical Skills: Recent, documented proficiency in strong scrub and circulating for cardiac surgeries.
• Licensure: Active Kansas (KS) RN License or Compact License in good standing.
• Certifications: Current BLS (AHA) required.
• Floating: Flexibility to float between Bell OR, Cambridge OR, and SPD.
• Soft Skills: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team and communicate effectively under pressure.

Core Responsibilities

• Coordinate intraoperative care for patients undergoing open-heart and vascular procedures.
• Maintain a pristine sterile field and anticipate surgeon needs during complex cases.
• Document care accurately within the facility’s EMR system (Epic).
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perfusionists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in the on-call rotation to support emergent trauma and cardiac cases.
