Level 1 Nursing was founded by two bedside nurses who worked in a high acuity Level 1 Trauma Hospital. They saw firsthand the impact staffing can have on nurses, hospitals, and patients.
This drove them to develop a staffing agency focused on providing hospitals with experienced local nurses to help improve patient care.
Bridging the Gap in Healthcare Staffing
We are working to keep nurses in Kansas as well as fill the gaps hospitals have in their staffing needs without increasing labor costs. We allow hospitals to focus on patient care and safety, and reduce the risk of burnout among permanent staff.
We want to make a change in healthcare and improve patient care overall. We want patients and hospitals to know that caring hands are always there with talented nurses in every unit. We are here to create longstanding and valuable relationships with our nursing staff and the hospitals we serve.
Empowering Hospitals and Nurses
Providing excellent care for patients is difficult when hospitals are short-staffed. It is extremely important to us that all hospitals across the state of Kansas, especially those in rural areas, have the ability to provide their patients with the highest quality of care. We are committed to matching our diverse pool of specialty nurses with facilities to ensure patients are given the best possible experience during their visit.
How Level 1 Nurse Staffing Started
Level 1 Nurse Staffing was created out of a deeply personal and profound experience. Our founders started their careers as two dedicated bedside nurses working at a level 1 trauma hospital. They each spent years caring for patients on the front lines of healthcare, witnessing the consequences of staffing shortages on nurses, hospitals, and most importantly, the patients themselves.
Seeing their colleagues struggle with excessive workloads, long hours, and the emotional toll of not being able to provide the level of care they knew patients deserved, they embarked on a mission to create a staffing agency that focuses on nurses and enhancing patient care.
With an intimate understanding of the challenges faced by nurses every day, Level 1 Nurse Staffing’s goal is to provide support 24/7 to their staff, and prioritize the well-being of nurses and the quality of patient care above all else.
