• Setting:  Community 132 bed hospital rural Southwest Kansas
• Start Date: 5/11/25
• Shift: days / 4x10s / 40 hours week / 0630-1500 or 0630-1700 available
• On Call: 6-7 days a month & 1 weekend month
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Pay: up to $2,640 gross weekly; stipend (M&I $476wk / Travel $770wk) + W2 rate $34.85hr. On call $6/hr. Call back $69.70.
• Required: 2 years OR RN experience. Associate Degree in Nursing is required. Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred. State RN license or RN license from a participating compact state. American Heart Association (AHA) BLS & ACLS. Must live outside of 60mile radius from facility. Common Spirit Employees not eligible.
• Floating Requirements: not routine however in situations of emergent / crisis floating may be required to another facility within the system located within sixty (60) miles of the original assignment location.
• Job Details: OPERATING ROOM/GI/PRE-POST Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for all age patients in operating room, GI rooms, PACU and Pre-Admit. Provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Center. Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to physicians, patients, family members, and personnel in other departments as well as team members. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the Nurse Supervisor or Director of Nursing, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits and projects.  PRE-POST PERIOPERATIVE Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for all age patients in PACU department and Pre-Admit. Provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Center. Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to physicians, patients, family members, and personnel in other departments as well as team members. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the Nurse Supervisor or Director of Nursing, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits and projects.   This position requires providing service to a one or more age populations including an ill neonate through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
