Travel Nurse – RN – MedSurg Nights Contract – Great Bend, KS – $2,124 gross weekly

Level 1 is working with the University of Kansas Health System in locating an experienced 
Clinical Medical Surgical Registered Nurse for a 13 week night shift contract. Under the 
supervision of the nursing department’s management, the RN assumes the responsibility for 
the nursing processes of assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, 
implementation, and evaluation needed to deliver safe, evidence based care within their 
scope of practice.

Area: Medical Surgical Unit
Desired Start Date: 05/04/25 
Length of Assignment: 13 weeks 
Hours per Week: 36hours

Shift & Time: nights 12s  1845-0715
Weekend Rotation: every other weekend 
On-call Requirements:  minimum of 1 shift per month. 
Floating Requirements:  Can float to ER if prefers to.  
Requirements:  Minimum 1 years recent hospital medsurg experience. 
Must have experience with drips of Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, Cardizem. 
American Heart Association (AHA) BLS & ACLS, 
NIHSS, current State of KS RN or compact license. 
Must live outside of 60mile radius from Great Bend, KS, facility. 
Pay Package: $1,246 Stipend/ W2 wage $24.39hr/ for a total gross weekly of $2,124.

Job Details: 
Includes Collects and assesses initial and on-going data about the health status of the patient.
Initiates and/or revises an individualized plan of care that includes immediate and 
long-term outcomes for the patient/family and reflects the plan of the entire health care team.
Carries out interventions safely and in compliance with policy to facilitate achievement 
of expected outcomes.
Evaluates patient response to intervention/therapy based upon expected outcomes.
Provides patient education by explaining procedures, medications and giving instructions 
at a level the patient can understand.
Addresses patient’s questions and concerns.
Verifies patient informed consent when indicated.
Documents and communicates all required components of patient care.
Provides care to acutely and critically ill patients, in a highly technical 
and ongoing monitoring environment.
