Position: Travel Nurse RN
Specialty: LDR OB Postpartum
Location: University of Kansas Health System, 4000 Cambridge Ave Kansas City Kansas
Setting: Suburban academic center
Start Date: 5/11/25
Shift: nights / 3x12s / 1900-0700 / 36hrs week
Weekend Rotation: every 3rd weekend rotation
On Call Requirements: 1 per month during the week
Holiday Requirements: required as needed for unit coverage (minimum 2 of the 3 summer holidays)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Pay: $2,196 gross weekly; $1,505 stipend (M&I $560, Travel $945) + W2 rate $19.19hr. Call back $38.38hr.
Experience Minimum: 2 years LDR RN experience & travel experience. Preferred 3years LDR and 1 year travel experience, high risk OB experience. Associate Degree in Nursing is required. Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred. State RN license or RN license from a participating compact state. American Heart Association (AHA) BLS, ACLS, NRP. Fetal monitoring class (intermediate or advanced). Must live outside of 50mile radius from facility.
Floating: floating to mother & baby, would only take a mom assignment if floating required. Very unlikely to float to support baby.

Job Details: Collects and assesses initial and on-going data about the health status of the patient. Initiates and/or revises an individualized plan of care. Evaluates patient response to intervention/therapy based upon expected outcomes. Provides care to acutely and critically ill patients, in a highly technical and ongoing monitoring environment. Implements care in a knowledgeable, skilled, consistent manner in reaching the desired patient outcomes through nursing processes. Establish priorities of patient care based on essential patient needs and available center resources of time, personnel, equipment and supplies. Coordinates care delivery and education through collaboration with patient, family and all health care team providers to ensure safe, effective and quality patient care. Performs documentation in a timely, accurate, and concise manner. Reviews and carries out physician orders in an appropriate professional manner.

Weekly Stipend: $1,505
Taxable Base Rate: $19.19hr
