Requirements: Associate Degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred. State RN license or RN license from a participating compact state. American Heart Association (AHA) BLS & ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification. Must live outside of 50mile radius from facility for travel rates; local rates variable
Weekly Pay: $2,160 gross weekly; $1,246 stipend (M&I $476wk, Travel $770wk) + W2 wage $25.39 hour.
Job Details: Recover open hearts (CABG, AVR, MVR, TVR, TAVR). Unit patient population consists of open hearts, TAVR’s, thoracotomies, MI’s, IABP, Impella, CRRT, swans, sepsis, post codes, unstable heart blocks, unstable cardiac patients, post pacemakers, post lead extractions, heart failure, patients requiring vasopressors, intubated patients, vascular surgeries. Implement and monitor care plans for patients with various cardiac conditions, including but not limited to cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, or any hemodynamically unstable patients requiring pressors. Use heart monitors to assess cardiac functioning.
