13weeks | 2yrs Experience RequiredLevel 1 is working with the University of Kansas Health System to locate an experienced MRI Tech for a night shift 13 week contract in Kansas City, Kansas. The MRI technologist is responsible for producing quality MR images while providing optimal patient care and applying all principles of patient safety. MRI technologists are expected to participate in on-going training and education relating to positioning, technique and MRI safety guidelines. Location: University of KS, Bell & Cambridge 4000 Cambridge Ave. Kansas City, KS 66160 Class/Area: MRI Technologist Desired Start Date: 03/30/25 Length of Assignment: 13weeks Hours per Week: 36hr Shift and Time: 12hr Nights; TH, Fri, Sat 1900-0730 On-call Requirements: Not required but available if interested. Staffed 24/7, so call shifts are overnight during the week and 24hrs on weekends. Holidays Requirements: Required based on unit needs. Experience with Equipment: Phillips Achieva Siemens 1.5 T Sola, Cerner, Unity PACS, Inteview PACS, require someone who has more hospital experience, prior scanning experience with implanted devices, and a strong skillset with scanning a Phillips Achieva. Experience Preferred: 2+ years MRI experience and a minimum of 1 year travel experience. Must live 60 miles away from facility for travel contract. License/ Certification Requirements: ARRT and BLS Floating Requirements: Will Float to Bell and Cambridge On-Call Requirements: Not required but available if interested. Unit staffed 24/7, so call shifts are overnight during the week and 24 hours on the weekends. The intended role of the call tech is to work when there are shortages due to unexpected absences. Pay Package: Stiped $1,505, W2 hourly rate $29.19, for total gross weekly of $2,520. Job Details: Demonstrate understanding of: human anatomy and physiology; pathology; pharmacology; medical terminology; MR technique; patient positioning for MR. Prepare patients for procedures and take care of patient needs during examinations or procedures Perform venipuncture, manage intravenous access, and administer medications as prescribed Select appropriate pulse sequences with consideration of established protocols and other factors that influence data acquisition parameters. Evaluate medical images for quality and to ensure patient identification. Responsible for adherence to ACR MR safety guidelines such as restricting area access, screening patients and others for MR access, and observing and controlling the MR areas. Possess MR safety knowledge and research implanted devices - Apply principles of MR safety to minimize risk to patients, self and others. Identify and respond to emergency situations. Perform ongoing quality assurance and educational activities as assigned. Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
Gross Weekly Pay: $2,520
Weekly Stipend: $1,505
